Julian Charrière: For They That Sow the Wind

Parasol Unit, January 2016

Description

On the occasion of Julian Charrière's first UK solo exhibition, Parasol unit has published a beautifully illustrated publication including images of all the works in this exhibition as well as other related works.

Much of Julian Charrière’s work is concerned with time, the continuous cycle of past, present and future, as well as sudden and gradual physical transformations that have occurred naturally or due to human activity. Creating works while exploring ecological and environmental issues in specific locations, Charrière examines how humanity interrelates with the natural order.

The publication includes an essay by renowned American contemporary philosopher Timothy Morton, an essay and insightful interview of the artist by Ziba Ardalan, Founder and Director of Parasol unit foundation for contemporary art.
