Sean Kelly is delighted to announce that Shadow World, a new film by Johan Grimonprez, will open in New York City on Friday, October 14th at the Village East Cinema and simultaneously in Los Angeles at Laemmle's Encino. Based on Andrew Feinstein's highly acclaimed book The Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade, the film Shadow World digs deeply into the corruption and conflicting interests inherent in companies that deal in arms, the privatization of war, and the relationship between powerful lobbyists and politicians in an era when munitions manufacturers are deeply entwined with governments around the world.
