Sean Kelly congratulates Rebecca Horn on being awarded the Wilhelm Lehmbruck Prize for Sculpture by the city of Duisburg, Germany, and the Lehmbruck Museum. Horn is the first woman to receive the prestigious international award, which is named after the Duisburg-born sculptor Wilhelm Lehmbruck (1881-1919). Previous recipients include Joseph Beuys, Eduardo Chillida, Jean Tinguely, Claes Oldenburg, and Richard Serra. Horn will be the subject of a major solo exhibition at the Lehmbruck Museum, scheduled to open in November 2017. For more information on the award, please visit lehmbruckmuseum.pr.co.
