UGM | Maribor Art Gallery in Maribor will host Rebecca Horn's first solo exhibition in Slovenia. The exhibition, which celebrates Maribor's status as the 2012 European Capital of Culture, will present a selection of Horn's works alongside works by other contemporary artists, chosen by Horn herself to underscore the themes of her oeuvre. The exhibition, titled Rebecca Horn & Guests, will be accompanied by an exciting and varied program of events, including an artist talk, a projection of Horn's famous film Buster's Bedroom (1990), musical performances, art workshops and a literature evening with internationally renowned guests Joachim Sartorius, Rod Mengham and Tomaž Šalamun. The exhibition opening will feature a performance by artist Antonio Paucar and the presentation of a musical composition, written by saxophonist and composer Hayden Chisholm, especially for Rebecca Horn's installation. Rebecca Horn & Guests will be on view from September 28 through November 11, 2012.
