Rebecca Horn film premiere

The film world premiere of Moon Mirror Journey will take place at the 11th international literature festival berlin in Berlin, Germany. The film, which looks back at some of Rebecca Horn's most important works from the past 25 years, will be shown on the Main Stage of the Haus der Berliner Festspiele at 9pm on Thursday, September 8th and will be presented by Prof. Dr. Joachim Sartorius, the Artistic Director of the Berliner Festspiele.

Moon Mirror Journey, which was directed by Rebecca Horn, provides a poetic, cinematic look at the artist's oeuvre, presenting works ranging from Concert in Reverse in Münster (1987) to the Concert for Buchenwald (1999, Weimar and Ettersberg Castle) and covers the large retrospective of her work at the Martin-Gropius-Bau in 2007. From an extensive archive of film material, Horn has created an absorbing journey through her life and work accompanied by music of Hayden Chisholm, who has written music for several of Horn's installations.

Following its premiere at the 11th international literature festival berlin, Moon Mirror Journey, will be screened at the opening of the Moscow Biennale on September 20, 2011 and the opening of the Artecinema Film Festival in Naples, Italy on October 13, 2011.
