Peter Liversidge and Iran do Espírito Santo in Nod Nod Wink

PETER LIVERSIDGE, Proposals for Stefano Rabolli Pansera, Beyond Entropy, Architecture Association, London, 22 typed proposals, framed, Dimensions variable.

Opening on July 9th, the work of Peter Liversidge and Iran do Espírito Santo will be on view in an exhibition at the Harwood Museum in Taos, New Mexico. Titled Nod Nod Wink Wink: Conceptual Art in New Mexico and Its Influences, the exhibition features 42 works by 35 artists from collections in New Mexico. Organized by Harwood Museum curator Jina Brenneman, Nod Nod Wink Wink is designed to underscore New Mexico’s role in the Conceptual Art movement both as the home to many artists' studio practices and the home to enthusiastic collectors of Conceptual art. Liversidge's contribution to the exhibition consists of a proposal for a group of eleven elastic bands, cast in silver and then painted over to appear exactly as the originals. The proposal is exhibited along with the resulting objects, which are placed directly on the gallery floor. Iran do Espírito Santo's work Candle Bulb in stainless steel will also be on view.

Liversidge will have his first exhibition at Sean Kelly Gallery from December 8, 2011 through January 28, 2012.
