Marina Abramović in [Sound works]

The exhibition starts on 26 June in Kreuzberg, Berlin, presenting one piece each by Marina Abramović, Laurie Anderson and Miranda July.

The Tree by Marina Abramović dates from 1971 from a period where the artist was using sound to intervene in spaces, a practice that led directly to her using her own body in her art. The piece is a recording of birds chirping and will be played around a tree in the garden of the exhibition space.
