Laurent Grasso in Quête d’infinis. Artistes explorateurs du 20e et du 21e siècle

With "Quest for Infinity," the city of Auxerre and the Centre Pompidou invite you on a journey through time and space. Explore the various historic sites of the Abbey of Saint-Germain and discover the work of artists who reflect the conquest of space, geopolitical history, or their own spiritual and dreamlike inspiration.

Between the 16th and 19th centuries, many artists in search of the unknown took part in the great expeditions that made the world known. The stories of these explorations help to create the stories of humanity. Today, artists continue their quest to experiment with new ways of understanding our past, present, and future existence. Explorers of their times, they become in turn inventors or cartographers of physical or mental territories.
