The Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain (MAMAC) in Nice will present Julião Sarmento, a comprehensive solo exhibition of the artist's work. The exhibition, curated by Gilbert Perlein, will be on view from June 28 to November 30, 2014. This marks Sarmento's first major exhibition in France, with nearly one hundred works on display compiled from the artist's studio, private collections and institutions. The exhibition will feature work in a diverse range of media including drawing, painting, sculpture and video, all referencing Sarmento's ongoing exploration of the complexity of desire.
MAMAC will provide tours of the exhibition every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from July 1 to August 21, 2014.
