Julião Sarmento in Mais nada se move em cima do papel

Framed in the cycle Drawing as Thought of CAA - Águeda Arts Center, the exhibition “Nothing else moves on paper” adopts the first verse of a poem by Al Berto for its title and gathers works by artists who over the years , in their own paths and languages, they have been working on drawing as an undisciplined register, in some cases transversal to their practices.

The works on display show that the drawing reflects a previous condition, little tangible, comparable to thought, as if the gesture or intuition that precedes the inscription of the line moves or hovers above the paper, to later take shape in two-dimensional and three-dimensional supports, gain body and acquire sculptural, sound, atmospheric formulations, space.
