Sean Kelly is pleased to announce that Jose Dávila was awarded the EFG Bank / Art Nexus Latin America Art Award yesterday evening during Art Basel Miami Beach. His work was chosen from among five nominated artists to be acquired as part of the EFG Bank art collection. EFG Bank & ArtNexus organized the award through a pre-selection process conducted at five Latin American contemporary art fairs: ArtBo, Bogotá; Art Lima, Lima; SP-Arte, São Paulo; arteBA, Buenos Aires and Ch.ACO, Santiago de Chile. The aim of the prize is to promote the production of contemporary visual arts by Latin American artists and to increase awareness of regional fairs in Latin America among global collectors.
