Johan Grimonprez in REMAKE

Dedicated to the links between art and cinema, the exhibition Remake adopts a double-entry bias. While the question of cinema crosses the watermark of the Frac collection, it is a question of probing how today's artists reinterpret the history of cinema through video. In addition to this exploration, Remake also decided to re-open the exhibition dedicated, at the same time, the Museum of Fine Arts in Rouen to the relationship between art and cinema from a point of view, this time more historical. By faithfully reproducing the museum's route, Remake thus provides a singular effect of deja vu and questions the importance of the notion of recovery, new version or adaptation in the current creation.
