Candida Höfer in Mexico

Candida Höfer in Mexico exhibits 25  exceptional large-format photographs from the series titled Höfer in Mexico that the artist made of emblematic spaces of our country including Teatro Degollado and Hospicio Cabanas, Guadalajara; Teatro Juarez Guanajuato; Palacio de Bellas Artes, the Vasconcelos Library, Metropolitan Cathedral, National Art Museum and National Museum of Anthropology, Mexico City; National Museum of Viceroyalty in Tepotzotlan, State of Mexico, Church of Santa Maria Tonantzintla and Palafox Library in Puebla; Tlacochahuaya Church and Monastery and Church of Santo Domingo, in the state of Oaxaca. The exhibition is supplemented by 13 photographs of smaller format and 2 photographic projections which depict the national architectural heritage revealed through those fragments of reality that the photographer detached from the environment during his visit to Mexico.
