Anthony McCall: El Aleph

The Faena Arts Center will present the work of Anthony McCall for the first time in Argentina. The exhibition, El Aleph, which was curated by Alfons Hug, director of the Rio de Janeiro Goethe-Institut, presents site-specific installations from Anthony McCall and German artist Mischa Kuball. The exhibition uses Jorge Luis Borges’s short story El Aleph as a point of departure, reflecting on the use of light to explore temporality and metaphor. McCall's solid-light installation, which blurs the boundaries of traditional media through its ethereal presentation of drawing geometric forms in space with light, is complimented by Mischa Kuball’s space - speech - speed, which presents thousands of moving light reflections.
