Inspired by the late Polaroids of Walker Evans, the photographs in Soth’s latest book gather his impressions on life, art-making, and ageing, captured in his encounters visiting twenty-five undergraduate art programmes across the United States. Twenty years on from the publication of his first book, this is the reflective and provocative latest work from a master of his craft.
This event will be chaired by Charlotte Jansen. The author of Girl on Girl and Photography Now: Fifty Pioneers Defining Photography for the Twenty-First Century, Jansen has also written extensively on contemporary art for the Guardian, Financial Times, ELLE, frieze, and The British Journal of Photography, among others.
This event will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing. Doors will open from 6:45pm.
