Alec Soth: Gathered Leaves

Combining a documentary style with a poetic sensibility, Alec Soth is considered one of the most important American photographers of our time.

The Gathered Leaves exhibition brings together several major series that propelled the Magnum photographer to the forefront of the world stage: Sleeping by the Mississippi (2004), Niagara (2006), Broken Manual (2010), Songbook (2014) and A pound of pictures (2022).

Alec Soth's photographs are poetic explorations of the margins of the American territory, small towns, suburbs, wilderness regions, national parks... At a time when the United States and its fractures are at the heart of current events, his profoundly humanist work
shows us like no other the other side of the American dream.

Exhibition in partnership with Magnum Photo, as part of Glaz Festival, International Photography Meetings.
