The Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Elvas (MACE) in Portugal will present a solo exhibition of work by Julião Sarmento. The exhibition, entitled INDEX, is curated by João Silvério and features important historical works from the artist's oeuvre as well as new work, including a performance that Sarmento created specifically for the exhibition. INDEX will be accompanied by a Portuguese-English catalogue designed by Pedro Falcão with a text by João Silvério. The exhibition opens to the public on June 22 at 6pm and will be on view through December 31, 2013.
