The Eye Film Museum will present Anthony McCall: Solid Light Films and Other Works (1971-2014) from September 28 to November 30, 2014, his first solo exhibition in the Netherlands. Since the seventies McCall has developed an exceptional body of work consisting of the "solid light" works, as well as scores, photographs, and performances. McCall's installations blur the boundaries between sculpture, cinema and drawing.
The exhibition will show the development of McCall's solid light films, from his early iconic works, such as Line Describing a Cone, to his later digital works, including Face to Face, 2013, McCall's first work with floating, double-sided screens. The Eye Film Museum will host a tour of the exhibition on Sunday, September 28 at 6pm, and a talk with McCall and the co-curator Maxa Zoller at 6:30pm.
