Art Basel Hong Kong 2020 Online Viewing Room

VIP OPENING: MARCH 18 - 20, 2020
PUBLIC OPENING: MARCH 20 - 25, 2020

Sean Kelly is pleased to participate in the Online Viewing Rooms launched by Art Basel. For our inaugural viewing room, we have carefully curated a selection of works by the gallery's internationally acclaimed roster of artists including, Marina Abramović, universally recognized as the preeminent pioneer of performance art; Jose Dávila who creates sculptural installations and photographic works that simultaneously emulate, critique, and pay homage to 20th-century avant-garde art and architecture; Callum Innes one of the most significant abstract painters of his generation, whose work is a continuous exploration of color and the materiality of paint on canvas; Mariko Mori whose practice explores the universal questions at the intersection of life, death, nature, and science; Janaina Tschäpe, who creates large-scale, landscape-inspired paintings, which involve her own body in performative actions to realize their creation, and Sun Xun whose artistic practice combines extraordinary virtuosity with stylistic experimentation, blurring the lines between drawing, painting, animation, and installation, amongst others. With this carefully curated selection, the gallery presents not only the international breadth of its program but also affords visitors the experience of multimedia artworks of the highest quality.
