Sean Kelly is delighted to participate in Art Basel Hong Kong 2016, where we will present a carefully selected group of works by Marina Abramović, Los Carpinteros, Hugo McCloud, and Sun Xun. Focal points of the booth will be the presentation of The Lovers by Marina Abramović, a body of work she created after walking the Great Wall of China in 1988; Embajada Rusa, a new sculpture by Los Carpinteros constructed from LEGO® bricks, playfully reimagining the architecture of the Russian Embassy in Cuba; a group of new paintings by Hugo McCloud; and The Time Vivarium, a stop-animation film by Sun Xun, created for his debut exhibition at the gallery in 2015. This is the first time the film will be exhibited in Asia, a remarkable new body of two-dimensional works by Sun Xun will also be presented.
On Saturday, March 26th, at 12pm, Sun Xun will be in conversation with Li Zhenhua, Curator of Art Basel's Film Sector and Founder, Beijing Art Lab, and artist Zhao Zhao. For more information, please visit artbasel.com/hong-kong/events
